NYC Data Week 2020
Friday, February 28 – Saturday, March 7, 2020
Most of the events are free, or low cost.
The list of events can be found here. It’s nice that the information can be filtered, and it makes it easy to register for events. There is a “Select View button” (in the upper left hand corner) that makes it easier to view the data. However, I found it difficult to compare the descriptions across events.
A favorite event during open data week is BETA NYC’s School of Data. School of Data is a one day event (on Sat. March 7th). It’s a fun way to meet others interested in data and/or NYC and learn too. I’d describe it as low cost. It’s not cheap, or free, but compared to conferences that can cost $1000+ it’s a $55 ticket .
